Materials Needed:

White Cardstock Papper
Pirate Clothespin Puppets Template
Scissors
Glue
To begin your craft you need to download the Pirate Clothespin Puppet Template. This download is available to all members for FREE! You heard me correctly, memberships are free to join for everyone who is 18 years an older! It comes as a coloring page or already colored in. You choose which one you would like to download and create. Click on the link to signup and to find the Pirate Clothespin Puppet Template.
Once, you have downloaded the template, print it on 8.5x11 white cardstock paper and color it in.
Cut out each piece and then carefully cut along the marked teeth line on the puppet to separate the top part from the bottom.
Apply glue onto the gripping section of the clothespin, ensuring thorough coverage. For wooden clothespins use regular stick glue or school glue. If using plastic clothespins, adults can operate a glue gun and attach the pirate puppets to it. Attach the top part of the pirate puppet to the upper section of the gripping area, and align the bottom part with the body to the lower section of the clothespin's gripping area. Double-check for proper alignment between the top and bottom parts of the design. Repeat steps for the parrot puppet.
Attach the top part of the treasure chest to the upper section of the gripping area, and align the bottom part to the lower section of the clothespin's gripping area. Double-check for proper alignment between the top and bottom parts of the design. Flip the clothespin over and glue the gold to the backside facing forwards. This way when you open the treasure chest you will see the gold inside of it.
Once the puppets are complete, it's time for your child to put on a pirate puppet show! Create a stage with a blanket or cardboard box, gather some props, and let the pirate adventures unfold. Encourage your child to come up with exciting stories, engage in imaginative play, and embark on thrilling pirate quests with their newfound crew of clothespin pirates.
