How To Make Dragon Egg Craft For Kids
Materials You'll Need
FREE Printable Dragon Egg Template (available for download)
Markers, colored pencils, or crayons
Scissors
Glue
Tape
Popsicle Stick
Step 1: Print
Start by printing out the template on 8.5x11 white cardstock paper. Templates are FREE to download and directions on how to do this can be found towards the bottom of the post.
Step 2: Color
Let kids channel their creativity as they color by letting the add a personal touch to the dragon and egg.
Step 3: Cut Out Each Piece
Carefully cut along the outlines of the dragon and egg pieces. Take your time to make clean and precise cuts.
Step 4: Glue
Carefully apply glue to the entire gray section labeled "GLUE." Ensure you cover it evenly for a strong bond. Once the glue is applied, align and add the top piece of the egg. Press down gently to secure it in place, ensuring the edges match up perfectly. Let the glue dry completely before moving on to the next step to ensure a sturdy hold.
Step 5: Tape
Turn the dragon so that it is facing down, and then use tape to secure the popsicle stick to the back of the dragon.
Step 6: Assemble
To complete your hatching dragon egg craft, slide the popsicle stick with the attached dragon through the top of the egg.
Now your egg is ready for playtime! By sliding the popsicle stick up and down, your dragon will hatch from the egg, creating an interactive and fun experience for kids.
