Step 3: Cut Out the Mask

Carefully cut out the mask along the solid lines. If your child is too young to handle scissors, be sure to assist them with this step. Don't forget to cut out the eye holes so your child can see through the mask.

To get started, have an adult gently push the tip of the scissors through the center of each eye. Then, carefully cut along the lines. Alternatively, you can use a hole punch to create a small hole, and then gradually enlarge it with scissors.

Step 4: Attach the Elastic Cord

Next, you'll need to attach an elastic cord to the back of the mask so your child can wear it comfortably. Start by measuring the elastic cord to fit around your child's head. For reference, I used a 13-inch piece, but you may need to adjust this based on your child's head size. Have an adult help with this step by using a glue gun to attach the ends of the elastic cord to the back of the mask's head, near the eyes. Make sure the cord is securely attached and allow the glue to cool and harden completely before letting your child try on the mask.

Wear and Play

Your Printable Frankenstein Mask is now ready! Let your child put on their new mask and dive into a world of imaginary play. One thing is for sure, they will have a spooky fun time!
