Step 2: Spray with Water

Once you’ve finished coloring the filters, gently spray them with water. Watch as the colors blend and spread. Let the filters dry completely before moving onto the next step.

How To Speed Up The Dry Time?

The drying time for coffee filtera varies based on the amount of water used. If you heavily soak the coffee filters, they might need to dry overnight.

To speed up the drying process, consider these methods:

  • Blow Dryer: Use a blow dryer on the coffee filters. Watch for paint particles in the air. Once the filters are partially dry, hold them in your hand to prevent them from blowing away. Continue until they are fully dry.

  • Oven Drying: Place the coffee filters in an oven set to 125°F for 20-30 minutes. Keep a close watch on them and remove as soon as they’re dry.

  • Sun Drying: Set them outside on a warm, sunny day. Monitor them closely, as they may blow away once dry.

  • Pat Excess Water Away: Take a paper towel and gently pat some of the water away from the coffee filter. Allow it time to air dry after using the paper towel.
