Materials Needed:
Printed Alien Spaceship Template
White Cardstock Paper
Yellow, Orange & Red Paper
Markers, Crayon or Colored Pencils
Scissors
Glue Stick
Step 1: Print the Template Start by printing the Alien Handprint Craft template. I prefer using white cardstock paper but regular paper will work also. This template includes the spaceship and a sheet filled with stars, which will serve as the backdrop for your craft.
Step 2: Color the Alien Spaceship and Stars Let your child's creativity shine as they color the alien spaceship and the stars sheet. Encourage them to use bright and bold colors to make their spaceship and stars stand out.
Step 3: Cut Out the Spaceship Once the coloring is done, carefully cut out the spaceship from the template. Make sure to follow the lines as closely as possible.
Step 4: Trace Handprints Take yellow, orange, and red construction paper and trace your child's handprint on each color. These handprints will represent the flames coming out of the spaceship.
Step 5: Cut Out Handprints Carefully cut out the handprints from the colored paper. Make sure to keep them as neat as possible to ensure they look like realistic flames.
Step 6: Glue Handprints onto the Stars Sheet Begin by gluing the yellow handprints onto the stars sheet, arranging them to look like flames. Then, add the orange handprints on top of the yellow ones, and finish with the red handprints on top of the orange ones. This layering will create a dynamic, fiery effect.
